The Holy Bible.

Pictured to the left is a copy of a version of the Holy Bible, known as the ENGLISH STANDARD VERSION ( ESV ).  First Corinthians 13:1-7 read as follows:
"If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.  2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.  3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.  4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude.  It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.  7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
The phrase "does not insist on its own way," in verse five ( above ), has a cross-reference to ( 10:24 ) which reads as follows: "24 Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor."
The sin ( see John 3:16, 17; 8:26; Romans 1:16, 17, and 20 ( see Romans 1:20 ( KJV, for example; with center-column references, for example ) to get the equivalent translation for the word "Godhead" ); 10:17; Colossians 2:8, 9 ( KJV, for example ); and 1 John 5:7 ( KJV, for example ), 17, for example ) of selfishness is diametrically opposed to love.  Please click on the "Full Screen" symbol, at the lower right corner of the image below, to read today's bulletin regarding 1 John 4:8, for example:
Also, please read the Holy Bible ( which is God's word - see Luke 8:19-21 ( especially verse 21, for example ); 11:27, 28 ( especially verse 28, for example ); and Revelation 1:1-8 ( especially verse 3, for example ), for example ).
