The Holy Bible.

Pictured to the left is a copy of a version of the Holy Bible, known as the ENGLISH STANDARD VERSION ( ESV ).  1 Corinthians 11:27 reads as follows:
"27 Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty concerning the body and blood of the Lord."
The phrase "in an unworthy manner," in the above-given passage from the Holy Bible, has a cross-reference to John 13:27, which reads as follows:
"27 Then after he had taken the morsel, Satan entered into him.  Jesus said to him, 'What you are going to do, do quickly.'"
Additionally, the phrase "Satan entered into him," in this latter passage from the Holy Bible, has a cross-reference to verse two of this same chapter, which reads as follows:
"2 During supper, when the devil had already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him."
Finally, the phrase "the devil had already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him," in the previous passage from the Holy Bible, has a cross-reference to verse eleven of John, chapter thirteen, which reads as follows:
"11 For he knew who was to betray him; that was why he said, 'Not all of you are clean.'"
Considering all of these passages from the Holy Bible together, when we, as Christians ( see Acts 11:26, for example ), partake of the Lord's supper with unclean thoughts and motives, then we are partaking of it in an unworthy manner: the last passage from the Holy Bible ( immediately above ) implies that Judas Iscariot had unclean thoughts and motives in betraying Jesus.  Moreover, in Matthew 26:14, 15, for example, prior to eating the Passover with Jesus and the other eleven disciples, Judas Iscariot sought the opportunity to betray Jesus: he betrayed Him and He was arrested ( as we read in verses forty-seven through fifty-six, for example ).  An important lesson for us, as Christians, here, is that when we determine in our minds to commit sin, rather than following Him ( see Mark 2:14, for example ), we stand opposed to Jesus as Judas Iscariot and the rest of the sinners ( see Matthew 26:45, for example ) did: we betray Him.
The sins of all men put Jesus on the cross of Calvary ( see Luke 23:26-49 ( especially verse 33 ( KJV, for example ), for example ) and Romans 6:10, for example ), and as often as we partake of the Lord's supper, we proclaim His death until He comes ( see 1 Corinthians 11:26, for example ): each time we partake of it, it must be a reminder to us to repent and stop sinning ( see Proverbs 28:13, Luke 13:3, and 1 Peter 4:1-6 ( especially verse 1, for example ), for example, and cf. Ezekiel 3:17-22 ( especially verses 20 and 21, for example ), for example ).  Please read all of John, chapter 13, and 1 Corinthians 11:17-34, for example, to get the immediate contexts of those passages.  Also, please study the Holy Bible ( which is God's word - see Psalm 119:65-73, 142, 151, John 17:1, 3, 17, and 2 Timothy 2:15; 3:16, 17, for example ).
