The Holy Bible.

Pictured to the left is a copy of a version of the Holy Bible, known as the NEW AMERICAN BIBLE REVISED EDITION ( NABRE ); being entitled: THE NEW CATHOLIC ANSWER BIBLE.  Romans 6:12-14 read as follows:
"12 Therefore, sin must not reign over your mortal bodies so that you obey their desires.  13 And do not present the parts of your bodies to sin as weapons for wickedness, but present yourselves to God as raised from the dead to life and the parts of your bodies to God as weapons for righteousness.  14 For sin is not to have any power over you, since you are not under the law but under grace."
The parts of our bodies are to be presented as "weapons for righteousness" ( see verse thirteen, above ): the word "weapons," here, is used in a positive context.  For example, the husband would use the parts of his body in a godly way ( see Matthew 7:21-23, John 1:1, 14; 7:16; 10:30, Romans 1:20 ( see Romans 1:20 ( KJV, for example; with center-column references, for example ) to get the equivalent translation for the word "Godhead" ), 1 Corinthians 6:15-18 ( especially verses 16 and 18, for example ), Colossians 2:8, 9 ( KJV, for example ), and 1 John 5:6-8 ( KJV, for example ), for example ) to satisfy his wife's sexual desires, for example: the parts of his body are used as weapons, in this regard, to "fight a good fight" ( see 1 Timothy 1:18 ) against his wife's possible temptation to satisfy her sexual desires outside the marriage relationship ( see Hebrews 13:4 and James 1:12-15 ( especially verses 14 and 15, for example ), for example ).
By contrast, a man who presents the parts of his body as "weapons for wickedness" ( again, see verse thirteen, above ) would use them to violate and humiliate a woman through the sinful ( see 1 John 3:4, for example ) act of rape ( see Deuteronomy 22:28, 29 and Ephesians 5:25-33 ( especially verse 28, for example ), for example ), for example.  Sexual immorality is a form of idolatry ( see Genesis 2:21-25 ( especially verse 24, for example ), Exodus 20:3-6, Matthew 4:8-10 ( especially verse 10, for example ), and Romans 15:1-4 ( especially verse 4, for example ), for example ).  Please click on the link below to read today's bulletin regarding the heavenly Father's ( see Matthew 5:9, 16; 6:9, 14, for example ) hatred of sin, for example:

The Holy Bible.

Pictured to the left is a copy of a version of the Holy Bible, known as the ENGLISH STANDARD VERSION ( ESV ).  1 Corinthians 11:27 reads as follows:
"27 Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty concerning the body and blood of the Lord."
The phrase "in an unworthy manner," in the above-given passage from the Holy Bible, has a cross-reference to John 13:27, which reads as follows:
"27 Then after he had taken the morsel, Satan entered into him.  Jesus said to him, 'What you are going to do, do quickly.'"
Additionally, the phrase "Satan entered into him," in this latter passage from the Holy Bible, has a cross-reference to verse two of this same chapter, which reads as follows:
"2 During supper, when the devil had already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him."
Finally, the phrase "the devil had already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him," in the previous passage from the Holy Bible, has a cross-reference to verse eleven of John, chapter thirteen, which reads as follows:
"11 For he knew who was to betray him; that was why he said, 'Not all of you are clean.'"
Considering all of these passages from the Holy Bible together, when we, as Christians ( see Acts 11:26, for example ), partake of the Lord's supper with unclean thoughts and motives, then we are partaking of it in an unworthy manner: the last passage from the Holy Bible ( immediately above ) implies that Judas Iscariot had unclean thoughts and motives in betraying Jesus.  Moreover, in Matthew 26:14, 15, for example, prior to eating the Passover with Jesus and the other eleven disciples, Judas Iscariot sought the opportunity to betray Jesus: he betrayed Him and He was arrested ( as we read in verses forty-seven through fifty-six, for example ).  An important lesson for us, as Christians, here, is that when we determine in our minds to commit sin, rather than following Him ( see Mark 2:14, for example ), we stand opposed to Jesus as Judas Iscariot and the rest of the sinners ( see Matthew 26:45, for example ) did: we betray Him.
The sins of all men put Jesus on the cross of Calvary ( see Luke 23:26-49 ( especially verse 33 ( KJV, for example ), for example ) and Romans 6:10, for example ), and as often as we partake of the Lord's supper, we proclaim His death until He comes ( see 1 Corinthians 11:26, for example ): each time we partake of it, it must be a reminder to us to repent and stop sinning ( see Proverbs 28:13, Luke 13:3, and 1 Peter 4:1-6 ( especially verse 1, for example ), for example, and cf. Ezekiel 3:17-22 ( especially verses 20 and 21, for example ), for example ).  Please read all of John, chapter 13, and 1 Corinthians 11:17-34, for example, to get the immediate contexts of those passages.  Also, please study the Holy Bible ( which is God's word - see Psalm 119:65-73, 142, 151, John 17:1, 3, 17, and 2 Timothy 2:15; 3:16, 17, for example ).

The Holy Bible.

Pictured to the left is a copy of a version of the Holy Bible, known as the King James Version ( KJV ); 1611 EDITION.  Psalm 111:2 reads as follows:
"2 The workes of the LORD are great : sought out of all them that haue pleasure therein."
Additionally, Psalm 92:5 reads as follows:
"5 O LORD, how great are thy workes ! and thy thoughts are very deepe."
God's works are associated with His thoughts, and His law proceeds forth from His mouth ( see Psalm 119:72 ): we can know the heavenly Father's ( see Matthew 5:9, 16; 6:9, 14, for example ) works and, therefore, His thoughts when we seek them through a study of the Holy Bible ( which is His word - see John 17:1, 3, 17 and 2 Timothy 2:15; 3:16, 17, for example ).  May we daily search the scriptures ( see Acts 17:10-15 ( especially verse 11, for example ), for example ), that we might know God's thoughts and works, knowing Him.  Please click on the link below to view today's bulletin regarding this subject:

The Holy Bible.

Pictured to the left is a copy of a version of the Holy Bible, known as the New Revised Standard Version ( NRSV ).  1 Kings 6:22 reads as follows:
"22 Next he overlaid the whole house with gold, in order that the whole house might be perfect; even the whole altar that belonged to the inner sanctuary he overlaid with gold."
The sacred text of the passage in this copy of the Holy Bible, from which the above-given verse was taken, is entitled: "Solomon Builds the Temple" ( please read verses one through twenty-two to get the immediate context ).
The word "perfect," in verse twenty-two ( above ), indicates the fine craftsmanship that was employed in the building of  Solomon's Temple.  "The primary meaning of the Temple was the same as that of the ark it was constructed to enshrine: a symbol of God's presence in the midst of His people (Ex. 25:21-22)."  [  See HOLMAN BIBLE DICTIONARY, BUTLER, TRENT C., PH.D., HOLMAN BIBLE PUBLISHERS, NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE, Copyright 1991 Holman Bible Publishers, p. 1328.  ]
It was only fitting that this house of God be well built.
In the New Testament, we read of another temple: the apostle Paul ( see 1 Corinthians 1:1 ) wrote ( cf. 1:4, 10; 2:1-5; 3:1-3; 16:21, for example ) of the human body as "a temple of the Holy Spirit within you" ( see 1 Corinthians 6:19 ).  However, the Holy Spirit does not dwell within everyone ( see Matthew 16:17, Mark 16:16, John 1:12, 13; 10:30; 14:6; 17:1, 3, 17, Acts 2:38; 5:32, Romans 1:20 ( see Romans 1:20 ( KJV, for example; with center-column references, for example ) to get the equivalent translation for the word "Godhead" ), 1 Corinthians 12:1-3 ( especially verse 3, for example ), Galatians 3:26, 27, Ephesians 2:8, Colossians 2:8, 9 ( KJV, for example ), Titus 1:1, 2, and 1 John 5:6-8 ( KJV, for example ), for example ).  Whatever the case may be, our physical body has been "fearfully and wonderfully made" ( see Psalm 139:14 ): the eyes, nose, ears, fingers, toes, etcetera, have been so created by the heavenly Father ( see Matthew 5:9, 16; 6:9, 14, for example ).  See also Genesis 2:4-25, for example.
It is incumbent upon us, then, as Christians ( see Acts 11:26, for example ), to live in a manner that reflects the Holy Spirit dwelling within us ( see Galatians 5:22-26, for example ): we were "created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life" ( see Ephesians 2:10 ).  Let us use our bodies to perform those good works daily.  Please study the Holy Bible ( which is God's word - see 2 Timothy 2:15; 3:16, 17, for example ).

The Holy Bible.

Pictured at the top left is a copy of a version of the Holy Bible, known as the King James Version ( KJV ).  Below that is a copy of the Koran.  SURA XXXII ( ADORATION ), verses one through eight, read as follows:
"[1] This Book is without a doubt a Revelation sent down from the Lord of the Worlds.  [2]  Will they say, He hath forged it?  Nay, it is the truth from thy Lord that thou mayest warn a people to whom no warner hath come before thee, that haply they may be guided.  [3]  God it is who hath created the Heavens and the Earth and all that is between them in six days; then ascended his throne.  Save Him ye have no patron, and none to plead for you.  Will ye not then reflect?  [4]  From the Heaven to the Earth He governeth all things: hereafter shall they come up to him on a day whose length shall be a thousand of such years as ye reckon.  [5]  This is He who knoweth the unseen and the seen; the Mighty, the Merciful, [6] who hath made everything which he hath created most good; and began the creation of man with clay; [7] then ordained his progeny from germs of life, from sorry water: [8] then shaped him, and breathed of His Spirit into him, and gave you hearing and seeing and hearts: what little thanks do ye return!"
     Genesis 1:1-10 read as follows:
"IN the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.  2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.  And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.  3  And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.  4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.  5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night.  And the evening and the morning were the first day.  6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.  7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.  8 And God called the firmament Heaven.  And the evening and the morning were the second day.  9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.  10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good."
In the above-given passage from the Koran, we see that sorry water is associated with its account of the creation of man ( see verse seven, above ).  Why would sorriness be associated with this?  Whatever the case may be, we know that this account is a lie, because miracles ceased to occur when the apostle John finished writing the book of Revelation ( see the January 22nd, 2015 entry to this weblog, for example, to find additional facts regarding this subject ): God revealed nothing to Mohammed.
The above-given passage from the Holy Bible ( which is God's word - see Psalm 92:5; 111:2; 119:65-73, 142, 151, John 17:1, 3, 17, 2 Timothy 2:15; 3:16, 17, and Titus 1:1, 2, for example ) reveals to us that what the heavenly Father ( see Matthew 5:9, 16; 6:9, 14, for example ) created was good ( see verses four and ten, above ): what He created was, in fact, very good ( see verse thirty-one, and please read all of Genesis, chapter one, to get the immediate context ).  For additional details regarding the true account of the creation of man, see also Genesis, chapter 2 ( especially verses 4-25, for example ), for example.  The Koran is not God's word: it is a religious counterfeit.  In various contexts, it borrows names and events, for example, from the Holy Bible, and combines them with lies ( as has been demonstrated above ).  Please read the Holy Bible ( see Luke 8:19-21 ( especially verse 21, for example ); 11:15-28 ( especially verse 28, for example ) and Revelation 1:3, for example ).

NOTE:  The following quotation is taken from the copy of the Koran, pictured above:
"To speak of the Koran is, therefore, practically the same as speaking of Muhammad, and in trying to appraise the religious value of the book one is at the same time attempting to form an opinion of the prophet himself.  It would indeed be difficult to find another case in which there is such a complete identity between the literary work and the mind of the man who produced it" ( see THE KORAN: Translated by J.M. Rodwell, DOVER PUBLICATIONS, INC., Mineola, New York, This Dover edition, first published in 2005, is an unabridged republication of the work first published by J. M. Dent & Sons Ltd., London, in 1909., p. vii ).
Additionally, Muhammed was born in A.D. 567 or 569, and died on June 7th, 632 ( Ibid., p. vi ).  Considering the information in this note, and the fact that no miracles ( see Mark 16:19, 20 ( especially verse 20, for example ) and 1 Corinthians 13:8-13 ( especially verses 8-10, for example ), for example ) were occurring during Muhammed's life, it is clear that: the Koran is not God's word, Muhammed was a false prophet, and Islam is false religion.

The Holy Bible.

Pictured to the left is a copy of a version of the Holy Bible, known as the King James Version ( KJV ); 1611 EDITION.  Starting today, bulletins regarding various subjects from the Holy Bible will be posted here.  The subject of today's bulletin is death.  The Holy Bible teaches that there are two types of death, physical and spiritual.
Physical death is the separation of the spirit from the body.  Matthew 27:45-50 read as follows:
"45 Now from the sixth houre there was darknesse ouer all the land vnto the ninth houre.  46 And about the ninth houre, Iesus cried with a loud voyce [ sic ], saying, Eli, Eli, Lamasabachthani, that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken mee [ sic ]?  47 Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias.  48 And straightway one of them ran, and tooke a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reede, and gaue him to drinke.  49 The rest said, Let bee [ sic ], let vs see whether Elias will come to saue him.  50 Iesus, when hee [ sic ] had cried againe with a loud voice, yeelded vp the ghost."
The above-given passage from the Holy Bible describes the separation of Jesus' spirit from His body.
Spiritual death is separation from God ( I did not learn this concept on my own, initially, I was taught it - see 2 Corinthians 10:16 and Ephesians 4:25, for example: see also Romans 6:20-23 ( especially verse 23, for example), for example. ).  Genesis 3:20-24 read as follows:
"20 And Adam called his wiues name Eue, because she was the mother of all liuing.  21 Unto Adam, also, and to his wife, did the LORD God make coates of skinnes, and cloathed them.  22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good & euill.  And now lest hee [ sic ] put foorth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eate and liue foreuer: 23 Therefore the LORD God sent him foorth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground, from whence he was taken.  24 So he droue out the man: and he placed at the East of the garden of Eden, Cherubims, and a flaming sword, which turned euery way, to keepe the way of the tree of life."
All those who are cast into hell will experience eternal separation from God ( see Deuteronomy 33:2, Matthew 5:27-30 ( especially verses 29 and 30, for example ); 7:21-23; 18:1-5 ( especially verse 3, for example ), Mark 9:42-50 ( especially verse 43, for example ); 10:15, John 1:1, 14; 10:30; 14:6; 17:1, 3, 17, Romans 1:20, 1 Corinthians 6:9, 10, Colossians 2:8, 9, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 ( especially verse 14, for example ), 2 Thessalonians 1:5-10 ( especially verses 7-9, for example ), Titus 1:1, 2, 1 John 5:6-8, and Revelation 21:8, for example ).

The Holy Bible.

Pictured to the left is a copy of a version of the Holy Bible, known as the King James Version ( KJV ).  Matthew 5:27-30 read as follows:
"27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT ADULTERY: 28 But I say to you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.  29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.  30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell."
The same passage from the Holy Bible, referenced in yesterday's weblog posting, is given above.
There are a few additional observations to be made here.  To begin with, Jesus ( see Matthew 4:23 ) said, concerning the right eye that offends, to "pluck it out, and cast it from thee" ( see verse twenty-nine above ).  The phrase "pluck it out" means "get the sin out of my life": the phrase "cast it from thee" means "out of sight, out of mind," which also means "I will never think about committing this sin again."  With this teaching, Jesus set the standard of sexual morality at its utmost height.
What is the significance of this observation?  Jesus used His teaching against committing the sin ( see Psalm 119:65-73, 142, 151, John 17:1, 3, 17, 2 Timothy 2:15; 3:16, 17, Titus 1:1, 2, and 1 John 3:4, for example ) of adultery in the heart to lead into His teaching against committing the sin of unscriptural divorce ( which we find in verses thirty-one and thirty-two ): in verse thirty-two, He said, "But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery."  If a husband lusts after a woman who is not his wife, this can lead to unscriptural divorce ( divorce for any reason other than fornication ) from his wife, so that he can "marry" the woman he is lusting after.  If there is no sexual immorality involved in the marriage relationship, there is no scriptural reason for divorce ( cf. Malachi 2:16 and Matthew 19:9, for example ): this man's "second marriage" is actually an adulterous relationship ( hence, the use of quotation marks around the word "marry," and the phrase "second marriage" ).
The conclusion, at which we must arrive regarding this context, is that when the sin of adultery in the heart is avoided, the sin of unscriptural divorce will likewise be avoided.  Similarly, if pornography ( which is also condemned in the initial passage, given above ) is avoided, then the associated marriage problems will be avoided.  Jesus' teaching, as we have just observed, focuses on our thoughts: sinful thoughts lead to sinful actions.  Whenever we are tempted to think such thoughts, we must "cast" them from our minds, never again to return.  See also Philippians 4:8, for example.  Please read the Holy Bible ( which is God's word - see Luke 8:21; 11:28, 2 Peter 1:19-21, and Revelation 1:3, for example ).

The Holy Bible.

Pictured to the left is a copy of a version of the Holy Bible, known as the King James Version ( KJV ).  Matthew 5:27-30 read as follows:
"27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT ADULTERY: 28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
The above-given passage from the Holy Bible ( in this copy of this version ) is entitled: "Adultery."
Jesus ( see Matthew 4:23 ), in this context, teaches that we must pluck out our right eye, or cut off our right hand, if they offend us with regard to the sin ( see Psalm 119:65-73, 142, 151, John 17:1, 3, 17, 2 Timothy 2:15; 3:16, 17, Titus 1:1, 2, and 1 John 3:4, for example ) of committing adultery in our hearts.  The literal plucking out or cutting off of the offending members of our bodies is not intended here: if we love our neighbor as ourselves ( see Matthew 22:39, for example ), we will do no harm to either ( cf. Acts 16:25-34 ( especially verse 28, for example ), Ephesians 5:25-33 ( especially verse 29, for example ), and Jude, verse 17, for example ).  Rather, the lesson here is one of radical change: whatever is causing us to sin, we must "pluck out" or "cut off" from our lives, else we be "cast into hell" ( see verses twenty-nine and thirty, above ).
As a Christian ( see Acts 11:26, for example ), I have found, through experience, that I am very limited with regard to my use of the Internet, for example: there are only a few things that I can do online ( such as this weblog ) and be pleasing to the heavenly Father ( see Matthew 5:9, 16; 6:9, 14; 7:21-23, John 8:28, 29 ( especially verse 29, for example ); 10:30, Romans 1:20, 1 Corinthians 11:1, Colossians 2:8-10 ( especially verses 8 and 9, for example ), and 1 John 5:6-8, for example ).  Those few things aside, the Internet is a glorified pornography trap, for example: there are only a few safe websites online ( such as this one ) that are free from pornographic content, for example.  If you suffer from sexual addiction, for example, you would do well to "cut" or "pluck" the Internet out of your life: do what is necessary to avoid going to hell.  Please read the Holy Bible ( which is God's word - see Luke 8:21; 11:28, 2 Peter 1:19-21, and Revelation 1:3, for example ).

NOTE:  The copy of the Holy Bible, pictured above, employs a format whereby capital and small capital letters "in the New Testament indicate a quotation from the Old Testament" ( see The Holy Bible: containing the Old and New Testaments, King James Version, THOMAS NELSON PUBLISHERS, Nashville, Copyright 1989 Thomas Nelson, Inc., p. iii ).  Thus, the use of all-capital letters in Matthew 5:27 is explained.
